Australian Bookkeepers Network (ABN) helps bookkeepers build bigger and better businesses by providing them with the right support, tools and resources. ABN has served the bookkeeping industry since 2001 and in that time has grown to become Australia’s largest private representative body for self-employed and contract bookkeepers.

ABN is headed by five directors who have the very enjoyable role of driving forward the company at the strategic level and innovating its ever growing range of products and services. The directors have been actively involved in the bookkeeping industry for nearly a decade. Of these five directors, two are Chartered Accountants and two are CPAs. The fifth director, Leanne Lewis, is the operational lifeblood of ABN and the primary contact point for our members. In addition to the five directors, ABN also boasts an enthusiastic team of five staff in our Member Services division.

Put simply, ABN considers itself to be a value proposition. We must ensure that we provide you with quality products and services that you genuinely need to succeed in your bookkeeping businesses. If we can do that, you will see value in ABN, and together we’ll have formed a relationship that counts. If we can’t do that, we’ve lost your business!

ABN is very different to not-for-profit bookkeeping associations. We are a private organisation with a focus on providing bookkeepers with commercial solutions and value-for-money resources and support, whereas associations typically have as their prime focus the facilitation of education, professional standards and ethics, and representation to government. Indeed, associations have a role to play in the bookkeeping realm, but ABN is not in that space.

ABN is also very different to franchised operations. Our products and services are available for a fixed monthly fee, however you retain the independence to manage and operate your own bookkeeping business as you see fit.

ABN has built a wonderful team of people dedicated to the bookkeeping industry. Additionally, we have formed strategic relationships with a number of business partners who are also committed to the delivery of quality resources to bookkeepers. But undeniably ABN’s greatest strength is its personalised approach to its ever growing network of bookkeepers all over Australia.
